MYPOS Connect Payments x Muldoons (Worthing)

After months of configuration, testing, and coding, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of MYPOS Connect Payments, built on Adyen financial technology. This new feature allows us to provide clients with Interchange++ rates, a significant upgrade from the widely used Blended Rates that dominate the payments market. What’s more, our clients can now manage their payments and POS back office seamlessly through a single, web-based platform—the MYPOS Connect Portal—with all support handled directly by our team.

Why Muldoons?

When it came to choosing our first client for MYPOS Connect Payments, we wanted to make it count. After much consideration, we selected Muldoons of Worthing, one of our longest-standing clients. Muldoons has been with us since 2006, but their connection to MYPOS Connect runs even deeper. The current owner, Louis, has been using our software since 2002, back when he worked for Hogarths, our very first client

We worked closely with Louis and the Muldoons team to understand their pain points and challenges with past and current Payment Service Providers (PSPs). Unsurprisingly, there were numerous frustrations, inefficiencies, and unnecessary costs.

Solving Pain Points

One major improvement we offered Louis was the option to purchase the payment terminal outright, rather than committing to ongoing monthly fees. Louis calculated that, within just 7 months, the cost of buying the terminal outright would equal what he had previously paid in “standard” monthly fees. From then on, he would save significantly over the terminal’s lifespan Our payment terminals are PCI Lifecycle 6, valid until 2030, ensuring years of reliable use.

Another recurring issue was poor support. Louis shared how difficult it had been to reach customer service or get timely responses to his queries in the past. With MYPOS Connect Payments, he knows he can simply pick up the phone and speak to us directly for fast, efficient assistance.

Hidden fees were another major pain point. Louis found his previous statements filled with complicated charges—some difficult to decipher and others labelled as “miscellaneous” or unexpected adjustments. With MYPOS Connect Payments, we’ve eliminated this confusion. There are no PCI fees, platform fees, minimum monthly fees, or insurance fees. Clients simply pay for Interchange++ rates, which cover Interchange, Scheme, and the MYPOS Connect Professional fee (also known as the acquirer markup).

The Adyen AMS1 Terminal

For Muldoons, we provided the Adyen AMS1 terminal—a cost-effective yet highly functional device. To ensure the terminal remains protected and easy to use, we also supplied accessories like protective cases and charging solutions, all of which are available at www.creditcardroll.com.

We’ve been closely monitoring Muldoons’ transactions in real-time, ensuring that all plugins and webhooks are performing flawlessly. As expected from a platform built on Adyen technology, everything is running smoothly.

Looking Ahead

As we head into 2025, we’re excited to roll out MYPOS Connect Payments to more of our clients. Our aim is to save them money on rates, enhance their support experience, and provide a seamless integration with the MYPOS Connect ecosystem.
