Adyen Interchange++ Fees v Blended Fees

Most Businesses Are Using One of Two Pricing Methods

Understanding the difference between these models helps explain where savings can come from.

How Terminal One Payment Terminals Work in Practice

Once your payment terminal has been purchased, it will be shipped directly to your address.  Simply connect it to Wi-Fi or a cellular network, and it will automatically download the required configurations.

Accepting payments is straightforward - just power on the terminal, enter the amount, and your customer can pay using a card or digital wallet.  The Adyen payment terminal will clearly show whether the transaction has been approved or declined.

How Terminal One Payment Links Work in Practice

Terminal One supports straightforward payment workflows that help businesses collect funds quickly, confirm payment, and release goods or services with confidence.

1 - Order Received
Customer places an order at the counter, by phone, or by email.

2 - Payment Requested
A secure payment link is sent to the customer before goods are prepared or dispatched.

3 - Payment Confirmed
Payment is completed and confirmed in real time.

4 - Goods Released or Delivered
The order is dispatched or handed over once payment is secured.

The purchase price of the terminal includes our configuration services, ensuring your account is correctly set up from the outset.

All Terminal One payment terminals include an eSIM for cellular connectivity.

We also include a terminal replacement service, providing rapid, free replacement of any defective device to minimise business downtime.

Fees & Charges

We do not charge any platform or recurring monthly fees for Terminal One.

Our fees apply only when you process payments and are based on an Interchange++ pricing model. This includes:

  • A fixed fee per transaction.
  • A payment processing fee per transaction.
  • Interchange fees (charged by the customer’s bank) are passed through at cost.
  • Scheme fees (charged by Visa and Mastercard) are passed through at cost.

Standard settlement is typically two working days (T+2), net of applicable fees and charges.  Same-day settlement may be available subject to eligibility and conditions.
